Simplicity is beautiful
The first snow of the season swirling around in Sam Lawrence Park. Crisp, cold, November air. Frost tipped blades of grass slowly being obscured by a thin blanket of sparkly white. A man bundled up in toque and gloves to stave off the blustery chill throws a stick for his companion. A flash of copper-red against the bleak background of dawn as an irish-setter gallops across the field, leaving a trail of melting green pawprints on the snowy ground. His ears fly behind him, tail wagging, as he retrieves his prize and drops it at his master's feet. He nips at the flakes falling around his snout and barks. His master obliges and lets the stick fly again.
Simple. Beautiful.
Simple. Beautiful.

beautifully written...
isn't it great when you wake up one morning and suddenly winter is here?
I love this time of year...
I love fall and early winter....it's the transition from october right through to january that's my favorite "season". I love the crispness in the air, the colours, and the smell of fireplaces and crisp leaves. I love seeing my breath and feeling the cold on my cheeks, the opportunity to bundle up in a soft scarf and gloves. The magic of the first few snowfalls when everything is still fresh and white.....
Yes I do love this time of year.....
